Mobile/Vessel Crane Operations Course

Mobile crane operators perform the crucial task of lifting, moving, positioning, and repositioning cargoes. They perform pre-operational inspections, calculate crane capacities, determine load weight, and set up, position, and stabilize the mobile crane before lifting. These functions are inherent and some are considered high-risk tasks that could lead to serious accidents. The causes of these mishaps have been documented, studied, and analyzed and were found to be preventable through effective and responsive training programs.

Local laws and international conventions require that crane operators be trained, tested, and certified. These laws place a duty on employers to ensure that crane operators are properly trained and certified in operating their assigned equipment.

The Mobile/Vessel Crane Operations Course will help participants acquire the knowledge and skills needed to operate cranes properly and safely. It covers core competencies such as performing pre- and post-operation procedures, operating cranes safely, and conducting load-handling operations.
