Handling & Securing Cargo Course
This 24-hour course is designed to provide an overview of the key processes involved in cargo handling activities taking into consideration the characteristics of cargoes. It focuses on general safety precautions when loading and unloading, stowing, and securing cargoes under relevant international and local regulations, codes, and standards. It also covers safe entry and exit procedures in confined spaces and safe working practices at heights.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
During the training, participants will be able to:
• Identify at least 5 hazards encountered in cargo handling operations to prevent accidents.
• Apply appropriate storage methods and procedures for specific cargo types to maximize space and prevent damage.
• Demonstrate safe and systematic approaches when working at heights and in confined spaces.
