TRoPPA Onboarding Program

As provided under PPA Memorandum Order No. 003-2025, which amends PPA Memorandum Order No. 002-2025, the Talent Recruit of PPA (TRoPPA) Onboarding Program is a six-month expedition designed to guide new employees as they integrate into the Philippine Ports Authority. It combines face-to-face sessions, online learning, and web-based activities delivered through the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring a structured and comprehensive onboarding experience.

The journey is organized into seven milestones, each representing a significant stage of integration:

1st Milestone: Headway (Preparation) – The initial phase where TRoPPAs receive their notice of appointment, checklist of requirements, and HR forms in preparation for their entry into the agency.

2nd Milestone: Embarkation (Completion of Requirements) – This marks the formal start of employment. At this stage, TRoPPAs submit all requirements, take their Oath of Office, and receive their essential work tools such as a PPA ID, access card, and official email. Workstations and office supplies are assigned through coordination between the Administrative Services Department (ASD) and the Responsibility Center (RC). HR staff also conduct a facilities tour.

3rd Milestone: Maiden Voyage (Introduction) – A comprehensive orientation to PPA, including a video presentation featuring PPA officials and offices, an overview of the organization, the newly-hired orientation course, and an introduction to PRIME HRM.

4th Milestone: Exploration (Discovery) – TRoPPAs begin to explore their specific roles and responsibilities. This includes orientation on duties, preparation of their Individual Performance and Commitment, submission of development plans, and participation in mandatory training programs.

5th Milestone: Setting Sail (Immersion) – At this stage, TRoPPAs fully immerse in their roles. The first Individual Performance and Commitment Review is conducted to assess progress and provide feedback for continued development.

6th Milestone: Anchorage (End of Probationary Period) – Nearing the end of the probationary period, TRoPPAs undergo a second performance review to evaluate their readiness and growth. A Competency-Based Learning Needs Assessment (CBLNA) is also conducted during the sixth month to identify further development needs.

7th Milestone: Twilight Cruise (End of Onboarding Program) – The onboarding journey concludes with the awarding of the Docking Certificate, signifying program completion. An End-of-Journey Evaluation is also conducted to gather feedback and strengthen future onboarding processes.

Through these milestones, the TRoPPA Onboarding Program ensures that TRoPPAs are well-prepared, properly supported, and aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the Philippine Ports Authority as they begin their service to the public.
